A family house at the foot of Monte Alpi
We are a family from Castelsaraceno. We have lived here almost forever, and this house has always been ours.
Over a hundred years, one family
This house belonged to our mother's grandfather. Then it passed to her aunt, and from her to our mother. It has gone from hand to hand, always within the same family, and no one ever let it go.
Today we are bringing it back to life with care: we keep the stone, the wood and the thick walls, and add only what you need to feel at home.
Who we are
We are a simple family. We love nature, animals and our vegetable garden, which we tend every day. We love cooking and taking our time at the table.
Above all, we know how to feel good here. Casa Lorì is our way of sharing that with whoever arrives: the silence, the trails, real food, time that slows down.
Why Lorì
Lorì comes from the loricato pine, the tree that lives on the rocks of Monte Alpi. Its bark is made of plates, like the lorica, the armour of Roman soldiers: it is the pattern you see in the background of our website.
It grows slowly and lives for centuries. It felt like the right name for a house where you slow down.
